The Marquette County Medical Care Facility is more than a 24 hour skilled nursing facility. It is a family environment where people, both young and old, share their lives together. Our staff strive to improve the quality of life of our residents by creating a human habitat, a human place to grow. Our human habitat is built from music, the songs of birds, echoes of children’s laughter, nature and the tender shoots of growing plants. We look at the need to give as well as receive care, provide companionship, variety as well as biological diversity. To help accomplish this we have cats, birds, and fish that live in the facility and dogs that visit on a daily basis.

Our single story facility is equipped to handle a wide range of medical needs. We can provide care to individuals who need ongoing medical attention. Special services are available to those who need occupational or physical therapy before returning to their own home. Our dedicated staff provides compassionate care in a setting surrounded by a beautifully landscaped and wooded area.

We believe that quality care goes beyond medical treatment. We are committed to serving the total needs of each of our residents; physical, recreation, spiritual, personal and social. As part of this commitment, we assess the needs of the total individual and create a living environment to meet those needs. Each member of our staff is an integral part of this program and dedicated to serving our residents with dignity and respect.

Rehabilitation

Many residents benefit from the rehabilitation services we offer. The Marquette County Medical Care Facility offers Physical, Occupational, Speech and Respiratory Therapy. Our restorative nursing program provides skilled therapeutic care. The clinical expertise and friendly compassion of our staff helps people achieve their maximum potential. Some of our residents have returned to independent living after a therapeutic stay.

A Place for Living

Residents at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility are offered a wide range of opportunities to enjoy their life. Movies, parties, outings, and religious services are just some of the activities available. The joy of dining is not overlooked, as our dietary staff prepares healthy meals and snacks designed to meet each residents nutritional needs.

Family and friends are always welcome. Throughout the year, loved ones are invited to special events and outings. Families are encouraged to personalize resident living areas with favorite belongings.

Alzheimer’s Unit

Our Alzheimer’s unit addresses the needs of people with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. The unit keeps excess noise at a minimum to promote a calm and peaceful environment. Trained staff provide activities for residents on a daily basis designed to promote optimal function.
